Our top 5 visual takeaways from EuroShop 2026

“Celebrating six decades of innovation at the world’s premier retail event.”

Stepping onto the floor of the world’s largest retail trade fair is always a sensory whirlwind. Navigating EuroShop is no small feat; with over 1,800 exhibitors spanning 14 massive halls, the sheer scale of the event serves as a constant reminder of its status as the global epicentre for retail innovation.

While the official EuroShopĀ awards celebrate the ‘best in show’ across technical and design categories, our mission was more personal. We travelled to Düsseldorf to uncover the brands that we’re moving and visually stimulating on a human level, design that stopped us in our tracks.

The task was nearly impossible. With so much ground to cover, there were inevitably brilliant displays we simply didn’t get to see, but after much collective deliberation (and a lot of walking!), we’ve narrowed down the vast landscape to our definitive Top 5. These are the case studies that inspired us most, showcasing how the next generation of retail environments will be built with soul, style, and a moving, circular conscience. Most importantly, these are the innovations and philosophies we will be taking into heart and mind as we continue to do what we do best: pushing the boundaries of immersive and intentional store design.

MAGNWALL secured our fifth spot by turning product demonstrations into a high-tech performance. Their stand utilised a robotic arm to showcase the magic of their wireless power system, drawing us in to try it for ourselves. The system is incredibly functional for everyday retail; it allows for movable lighting, shelving, and digital risers for shoes or sunglasses to be snapped onto a wall anywhere without visible wires. It’s a perfect blend of utility and movement that makes a static wall feel alive.

PANECO provided some of the most powerful visual storytelling at the fair. Their booth featured a 360-degree dome centred around an unsettling, massive pile of discarded clothes, a brutally honest look at the current textile waste landscape. They guided us through the transformation process: showing raw waste turning into fibres, and finally into their beautiful, upcycled material boards. It was a provocative display that used visual discomfort to highlight a circular economy solution for textile waste.

Carton Crafters proved that sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated. Their stand featured a massive, vibrant house structure in bright blues and oranges, inspired by European terrace architecture. What struck us most was the accessibility; they have engineered sturdy, reusable cardboard solutions, from seating to full structures, that practically anyone can assemble. It’s a lightweight, transportable, and highly customisable slot-in system that allows VM teams to build massive, impactful displays without needing specialist construction skills.

ProcƩdƩs ChƩnel created a breathtaking paper forest that felt like an architectural dream. Their display showcased the incredible versatility of paper, moving from delicate, translucent veils to dense, fire-resistant structures. By integrating lighting directly into these paper forms, they created a glowing, ethereal atmosphere that was deeply immersive. It was a masterclass in how paper architecture can be used to create high-end, fire-safe, and visually stimulating environments that feel organic and high-fashion at the same time.

Taking our top spot for its sophisticated execution, Studio 9 delivered a masterclass in minimalist impact. Rather than yelling for attention, they used a sleek, simple colour palette and mirrored walls to make their space feel vast and intentional. The stand featured a variety of plinths made from diverse, high-quality materials, demonstrating their immense skill in materiality and production without cluttering the view. With perfectly placed lighting and an illuminated logo, they achieved a premium brand-first vibe that felt both massive and intimate, proving that sometimes, the most visually stimulating approach is one of quiet, confident precision.

Our journey through EuroShop 2026 was nothing short of incredible, and we left Düsseldorf feeling truly energised by the sheer level of creativity on display. A massive well done to all the exhibitors who poured their hearts into their spaces; it was a privilege to meet so many passionate people and hear the stories behind the innovation.

While we were initially drawn in by the visual stimulation of the stands, it was the deeper messaging and authentic commitment to sustainability that really resonated with us.

Seeing how these brands live and breathe their values proved that passion isn’t just a buzzword; it shines through in every fibre, board, and paper structure. These takeaways have inspired our team, and our designers will incorporate these insights into our future planning to create retail environments that are as purposeful as they are beautiful.
